Last week I had the privilege of attending the annual Veeam 100 Summit once again which this year was held in Prague, Czechia. This is the flagship event of the year for the V100 program which sees members from all over the world come together to connect with one another in person. With Veeam Product Management & Strategy teams also in attendance, as well as some exclusive product related content, this is an event not to be missed!
As this was my second year in attendance, it was great to catch up with some familiar faces throughout the week as well as seeing some new ones.
Using the learnings from the previous year’s event, I decided to arrive a day earlier than scheduled to try and overcome the seemingly unavoidable jetlag I tend to experience from the 30+ hours of travel. On a positive note, this did give me an extra day to explore the wonderful city of Prague and the sights it had to offer.
Day 1
The Summit kicked off with registration and the exclusive V100 SWAG pickup which is always something to look forward to.
The first day also included a popular hands-on lab workshop on the topic of SureBackup which I managed to attend.
Day 2
The schedule for day 2 was heavily focused around exclusive content including technical deep dives into product updates as well as an insight into what the future holds from a strategy and roadmap perspective. This year we were treated to an agenda packed full of invaluable content which really is what sets this event apart from any other.
I can’t go into anything specific here since it cannot be shared publicly, but you can expect some exciting things on the horizon.
Day 3
The final day continued where the previous one left off, consisting of more extremely valuable sessions across a wide range of Veeam products. Coming from an MSP background, it was great to see some Service Provider specific content with updates around V13 and VSPC.
We ended with the highly anticipated AMA session, giving those in attendance the opportunity to ask their Veeam related questions directly to the product and leadership team.
Before bringing down the curtain, no event is complete without a closing party! This year we were treated to a beer experience at one of one of Czechia’s most famous breweries where we arrived in style in our own Veeam 100 tram!
Wrap Up
Historically the V100 Summit has a history of being held in Prague over the years and I’d heard great things about it throughout the community. Now having experienced it for myself firsthand, I can honestly say it absolutely lives up to the hype! This was another unforgettable V100 Summit and a big thanks goes out to all those at Veeam that made this fantastic event possible.
It’s hard to believe this year’s Summit has already come to a close and I’m already looking forward to the opportunity to do it all again next year.
